From Model to Meadow: Internal Family Systems and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (2-Day Training Event)

Join us for an experiential and integrative training that bridges Internal Family Systems (IFS) with Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP). This event offers participants a foundational introduction of both IFS and EAP and how these therapies can be powerfully woven together in clinical and experiential work.

Introduction to Internal Family Systems (IFS):
Led by speaker Deborah Klinger, M.A., LMFT, CEDS-C, this portion of the training retreat will introduce the core ideas of IFS in an accessible and easy to grasp way. Participants will explore parts theory, part roles, and protective strategies. This training will include an experiential portion where clinicians will be led through role-pay or a guided experiential exercise.

Introduction to Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP):
Led by Amanda Graham, MS, LCMHC, this portion of the training retreat will take participants out of the classroom and onto the farm for an experiential learning opportunity that uses equine-assisted interactions to deepen the understand of parts work. While clinicians are not expected to work with horses in their own clinical practice, the farm setting will serve as a powerful, embodied example of how external, relational experiences can support emotional awareness, nervous system regulation, and parts differentiation.

This event is ideal for clinicians who are curious about parts work, experiential therapy, and relational healing, and who want an introduction that feels supportive, intimate, interesting, and engaging.
